Exhausted
<rant>
Why do most north american cars have their exhaust tips on the right hand side? I'm not sure of the reasoning, but after having a number of trucks and badly running crapmobiles spew carbon monoxide at me on the sidewalk this morning, I would recommend this practice be changed.

Speaking of cars, gas prices finally breached $1.00 per litre yesterday. Funny thing is that this has caused a mini Y2K issue... most gas stations simply don't have a 3-digit display (actually, 4 digits are needed i.e. 100.0). The nearest station to my home turned their sign off and put a hand scrawled sign out front. Classy. This morning the price was 99.9, so the sign was on again. I still think gasoline prices should be fixed like electricity and the fluxuations be absorbed with a decent average price that could be visited on a quarterly / yearly basis.
Maybe I should have kept the "<rant>" tag open longer?
Oh! I also saw a car driving the wrong way down a one-way street this morning. That was interesting. They never encountered any other cars (due to a gap in traffic going the proper direction), they made a turn and carried on their way. I wish I had had my camera.
Note: the song below is open source audio and can be freely downloaded using the links provided. I think this cover of a famous theme is just plain excellent. Check out the whole "album" if you have the bandwidth.
